%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20the%20Fannie%20Farmer%20cookbook%20for%20general%20instructions,%20but%20since%20I%20wanted%20to%20make%20sweet%20potato%20pasta%20I%20just%20made%20up%20my%20recipe.%20%20I%20fell%20in%20love%20with%20sweet%20potato%20pasta%20last%20year%20at%20the%20farmers%20market%20in%20Fort%20Collins%20where%20we%20could%20buy%20it.%20%20So,%20I%20wanted%20to%20make%20some,%20and%20hopefully%20be%20able%20to%20recreate%20that!%20%20:)%20%20Plus%20it's%20good%20experience%20for%20general%20cooking%20expertise,%20etc.%20(And%20fun!!)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo,%20I%20will%20put%20the%20recipe%20and%20then%20also%20a%20tutorial%20like%20normal.%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20%20Mash%20the%20sweet%20potatoes%20until%20most%20of%20the%20lumps%20are%20gone.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20%20Add%20the%20mashed%20sweet%20potatoes%20into%20the%20egg%20mixture%20by%20the%20spoonful.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20%20Keep%20adding%20the%20sweet%20potatoes,%20and%20also%20add%20the%20salt%20at%20this%20time%20until%20well%20combined.%20%20(As%20well%20as%20adding%20egg%20yolks%20if%20you%20are%20using%20them.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20%20Start%20adding%20flour%20to%20the%20mixture%20about%20a%201/2%20cup%20at%20a%20time.%20%20(I%20still%20was%20using%20my%20flat%20beater,%20but%20really%20should%20have%20switched%20to%20my%20dough%20hook.%20%20So%20if%20you%20have%20a%20dough%20hook,%20I%20recommend%20using%20that%20for%20the%20flour%20stage!)%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E8.%20%20Then%20turn%20it%20out%20onto%20a%20floured%20surface%20and%20divide%20into%204%20rather%20equal%20sections.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E9.%20%20Take%20one%20section%20and%20start%20rolling%20it%20out.%20%20Roll%20it%20as%20thin%20and%20evenly%20as%20you%20can.%20(I%20started%20rolling%20on%20my%20floured%20pastry%20board,%20but%20then%20switched%20to%20using%20floured%20wax%20paper%20to%20be%20able%20to%20move%20it%20easier.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E10.%20%20Let%20it%20rest%20for%20a%20few%20minutes,%20and%20roll%20out%20the%20other%20sections%20of%20dough%20while%20you%20are%20waiting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E11.%20%20Cut%20into%20desired%20strips.%20%20Half%20of%20the%20pasta%20I%20made%20today%20I%20made%20into%20lasagna%20noodles.%20%20So%20here%20are%20some....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20here%20they%20are%20ready%20to%20dry%20on%20the%20cooling%20rack....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E12.%20%20Repeat%2011%20for%20the%20remaining%20dough.%20%20Here's%20a%20way%20to%20cut%20spaghetti%20noodles%20that%20I%20learned%20from%20the%20Fannie%20Farmer%20cookbook.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThat%20did%20work%20well%20but%20I%20couldn't%20get%20them%20very%20thing%20that%20way....so%20I%20just%20did%20my%20own%20thing.%20%20And%20they%20turned%20out%20pretty%20well!%20%20(Pictured%20below)%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOoo,%20then%20I%20had%20some%20scraps%20left%20over%20and%20decided%20to%20just%20make%20some%20fun%20little%20curly%20noodles.%20%20So,%20here%20they%20are...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20last%20but%20not%20least,%20here%20are%20some%20of%20my%20spaghetti%20noodles%20hanging%20out%20to%20dry.%20%20(Okay,%20truth%20be%20told%20they%20weren't%20hanging%20%22out%22%20to%20dry...but%20they%20were%20hanging,%20and%20drying!%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow!%20%20I%20just%20can't%20wait%20to%20cook%20these%20all%20up%20for%20dinner%20this%20week!%20%20Be%20sure%20to%20be%20on%20the%20lookout%20for%20a%20new%20lasagna%20recipe%20to%20go%20along%20with%20these%20noodles%20too.%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20so%20glad%20I%20finally%20just%20made%20some%20homemade%20pasta!%20%20It's%20something%20that's%20been%20on%20my%20list,%20and%20I%20guess%20I%20just%20hadn't%20done%20yet.%20%20So,%20now%20I%20can%20check%20it%20off...and%20just%20may%20be%20making%20some%20more%20very%20soon.%20%20:)%20%20It%20was%20fun,%20pretty%20easy%20and%20I%20am%20SOOO%20excited%20to%20really%20see%20how%20they%20taste!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
