- 3 c. self rising flour
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 12 ounce. beer, room temp.
- 1 tbsp. shortening
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 3 tbsp. cornmeal
- 3 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp. butter
Инструкции
- In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cheese and dry herbs. Mix well. Stir in beer to produce stiff batter. Grease loaf pan with shortening and sprinkle with cornmeal. Turn batter into pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 65 min. Brush baked loaf with softened butter; sprinkle with additional cornmeal. Turn out and cold on rack.
