- For strawberry salsa, combine plum sauce, lime juice, and gingerroot in a small bowl. Remove 3 Tbsp. of this mix and combine with the salt and black pepper; set aside. To the remaining mix add in strawberries, cucumber, green onion, cilantro, and jalapeno pepper; cover and refrigeratewhile preparing fish (up to 1 hour, if you like).
- Coat the unheated rack of a broiler pan with cooking spray.
- Place halibut steaks on the prepared rack. Brush steaks with the reserved 3 Tbsp. plum sauce mix. Sprinkle with sesame seed. Broil 4 inches from the heat for 6 to 9 min or possibly till fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve with strawberry salsa.
- Makes 4 servings.
