- 5 c. fresh blueberries stemmed (thawed frzn blueberries may be substituted)
- 4 lrg green tomatoes - (abt 4 lbs) coarsely minced
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 5 c. sugar
- 3 pkt fruit pectin - (1 3/4 ounce ea)
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 tsp grnd cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp grnd nutmeg

- Pulse blueberries and minced tomato in a blender or possibly food processor 3 or possibly 4 times or possibly till mix is almost smooth.
- Cook blueberry mix, 1 1/2 c. water, and sugar in a Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring constantly, till sugar dissolves.
- Stir in fruit pectin and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook, stirring constantly, 5 min or possibly till mix thickens.
- Pour warm mix into warm jars, filling to 1/4 inch from top. Remove air bubbles; wipe jar rims. Cover at once with metal lids, and screw on bands.
- Process in boiling-water bath 10 min.
- This recipe yields 5 pints.
- Comments: For testing purposes only, we used Sure-Jell Fruit Pectin.
