- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. green pepper, minced
- 1/2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal mix
- 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 egg
Инструкции
- Heat butter in medium size cast iron skillet over low heat. Add in the peppers and saute/fry. Stir occasionally. Leave skillet on low heat. Combine dry ingredients and set aside. Lowfat milk and egg should be beaten (lightly) together.
- Add in lowfat milk mix to dry ingredients. Add in sauteed peppers. Mix. QUICKLY scrape the mix back into skillet. Cover and cook approximately 10 min. Make sure the heat is low or possibly bread will burn. After 10 min, turn cornbread over and cook about 2 min.
