Ингредиенты
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 x Onion, minced
- 12 x Cloves
- 1/2 x Cinnamon stick, broken
- 500 gm Continental masoor, (green lentils) (1lb)
- 450 ml Vegetable stock, ( 3/4pint)
- 900 ml Water, (1 1/2pints)
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt Grated zest and juice of 1 1/2 lemons
- 1/2 tsp Chilli pwdr
Инструкции
- Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium-low heat and fry the onion for 5-10 min, till it begins to brown, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the cloves and cinnamon and cook for 1 minute.
- Add in the lentils and cook for 5 min, stirring occasionally. Add in the stock, water, salt, stir well, cover and simmer for 30 min.
- Add in the lemon juice, then toss in the zest and chilli pwdr.
- Re-cover and cook for another 50 min, till the lentils are tender.
