- 8 apples, cored & pared
- 3 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. shortening
- 1/3 c. cool water
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 4 tbsp. water
Инструкции
- Mix flour and salt, cut in shortening. Combine egg and 1/3 c. cool water and vinegar. Stir into mix and let stand a few min.
- Roll out dough on floured board and cut into squares big sufficient to cover apple. Place in greased 9"x13" baking pan. Bring butter, brown sugar and 4 Tbsp. water to a boil. Pour over dumplings. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 min till golden.
