  • 2 1/2 c. cornmeal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 2 Large eggs
  • Lowfat milk

  1. Mix dry contents thoroughly. Put 9" black skillet in oven with bottom covered with vegetable oil and preheat till warm. While skillet is in oven start mixing Large eggs and lowfat milk into dry contents till batter is very moist and watery. When skillet is very warm, pour in batter and bake at 425 degrees for approximately 35 min or possibly till cornbread is done. Can add in jalapenos or possibly cracklins for flavor if you like. Be sure to use a 9" black skillet.
