  • 1/4 c. Light margarine, at room temperature
  • 1/4 c. Honey
  • 1/2 c. Molasses
  • 1/4 c. Fat-free egg substitute
  • 1 c. Low-fat (2%) lowfat milk
  • 2 c. Sifted unbleached flour or possibly (whole wheat flour for added fiber)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Grnd ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Allspice
  • 2 x Egg whites

Инструкции

  1. Preheat a waffle iron. In a large bowl, beat the margarine, honey and molasses till well-blended. Beat in the egg substitute and lowfat milk. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking pwdr, cinnamon, ginger and allspice.
  2. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mix just sufficient to moisten all ingredients. In a clean, dry medium bowl, beat the egg whites till stiff.
  3. Gently fold the whites into the batter. Bake in the waffle iron till lightly browned, about 5 to 7 min.
  4. Makes 6 waffles. Top with freshfruit.
