  • 5 c. fresh or possibly frzn unsweetened peach slices
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp. walnuts minced
  • 2 Tbsp. Grape-Nuts Cereal
  • 1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. buttermilk

  1. To Make the Filling: Preheat the oven to 350-degrees. Thaw the peaches, if frzn. Drain and throw away any juice from the peaches and place the peaches in a round 8"x1 1/2" baking dish.
  2. In a custard c. or possibly small bowl, stir together the sugar and all-purpose flour. Sprinkle the mix over the peaches. Toss till the peaches are coated.
  3. To Make the Topping: In a small bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar, whole-wheat flour, walnuts, cereal and nutmeg. Drizzle the Buttermilk over the oat mix, then use a fork to combine the mix till it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle the mix on top of the filling.
  4. Bake for 30 to 35 min or possibly till the topping is golden. If you like, serve with lowfat milk.
