- 1/2 c. Strawberries, thinly sliced
- 3/4 c. Sugar
- 3/4 c. Strawberry syrup,
- 3/4 c. Strawberry syrup and water
- 3 1/2 tsp Cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. Water
- 1/2 tsp Lemon juice

- Combine strawberries and sugar and let stand 30 min. Bring to a boil, and simmer 3 min. Strain through wire sieve. Measure strawberry syrup, adding water if necessary to make 3/4 c.. Pour into small saucepan. Mix cornstarch, water, and lemon juice; add in to strawberry syrup. Bring to a boil, and cook gently 4 to 6 min, or possibly till thickened. Cold slightly and spread over cake that has been frosted with Fresh Strawberry Frosting, letting it run down on sides. Let stand about 1 hour to allow glace to become hard.
