- 1 c. grnd pork or possibly beef
- 1 c. carrots, shredded
- 1 c. shelled, shrimp, minced
- 1 med. onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 T oil
- Lettuce leaves
- Egg roll or possibly lumpia wrappers
- MSG
- 1 c. reserved broth (add in water if necessary)
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 T cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon MSG
- 3 T soy sauce

- Brown garlic in hot oil. Add in onion. Saute till transparent. Add in pork or possibly beef and shrimp. Season with fish sauce, pepper, salt and MSG. Keep on stirring till meat and shrimp are tender. Add in carrots and cover till vegetables are tender, but hard. Remove from fire and drain remaining broth and save for lumpia sauce, cool and set aside.Place lettuce leaf on each individual wrapper and put 2 tbsp filling in each. Seal each wrapper by brushing with water. Serve with lumpia sauce.
- Mix all ingredients till cornstarch and sugar are dissolved, boil gently, stirring constantly till sauce thickens.
