- Place sugar, flour and salt in a saucepan and mix thoroughly. Stir in lowfat milk.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till very thick. Remove from heat and pour into a mixing bowl. Cold to room temp. Add in half the butter - cut into pcs- and beat at medium speed till smooth. Add in rest of butter, beat well till smooth. Add in vanilla. Refrigeratefor a few min before using. Cake must be refrigerated till serving.
