Рецепт Egg and Grit Casserole
This is a satisfying egg recipe using a Southern favorite – grits! Serve with a meat or vegetable as a meal or put on your breakfast buffet. I served with a family favorite – shrimp.

- 6 cups water
- 1 ½ cups grits
- 1 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 teaspoons dried onion
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
- 4 oz margarine
- 7 oz can chopped green chiles
- 5 beaten eggs
- 1 lb shredded cheddar
Инструкции
- Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9Ã12 casserole.
- Boil water, add grits, reduce to med-low and stir until thickened (10-12 mins).
- Stir in seasonings, margarine, chiles and beaten eggs. Stir and cook 2-3 mins.
- Stir in ½ of the cheese.
- Pour into the casserole dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake 40 minutes.
- Look how wonderful this looks when it comes out of the oven!
