- 1 lg. cake yeast
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 4 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 4 teaspoon vanilla or possibly anise extract
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. lowfat milk, scalded
- 1 c. sugar
- About 10 1/2 c. flour
Инструкции
- Soften yeast in water. Combine scalded lowfat milk, butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Cold to lukewarm. Stir in Large eggs (reserve 2 Tbsp.), vanilla, salt and yeast mix. Gradually add in flour mix well after each addition. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. Punch it down and let rise for another hour. Make loaves and let rise till double in size. Brush the egg over the top and bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
