Ингредиенты

  • 4 c. dry split peas
  • 2 quarts. water
  • 2 c. chicken stock
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 1 c. celery, minced
  • 1 c. carrot, minced
  • 1 lg. bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 3 springs parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or possibly more)
  • 1 to 2 c. sliced Polish sausage

Инструкции

  1. Wash split peas; drain. In large pot put all ingredients; bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hrs. Stir often to prevent sticking. Remove bay leaf before serving.
  2. Note: Add in more water or possibly broth if desired a thinner soup.
