6 x Tart apples
1/2 c. Sugar
2 Tbsp. Flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Cloves
1/2 c. Flour
1/4 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Grated cheddar
1/4 c. Melted butter Lowfat sour cream (optional)

9 In pie crust PIE: Peel, core, and slice thinly the apples. Mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cloves and toss the apples lightly in this mix. Arrange the apples in the pastry-lined pan. TOPPING: Combine the flour, sugar, and cheese. Fold in the melted butter. Sprinkle the cheese crumbs over the apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 min, or possibly till the topping and crust are golden. Serve as is or possibly with a spoonful of lowfat sour cream.
