Name: Delia's Meat Pies (Tourtiere)
Ingredients: Mix together,; 3 lb lean hamburger; 2 lb grnd pork; 2 med onions, minced salt and pepper to taste grnd allspice to taste; 1 x to 1-1/2 c. water; 1 ctn bread crumbs (about 2 c.)

Ингредиенты

Mix together,
3 lb lean hamburger
2 lb grnd pork
2 med onions, minced salt and pepper to taste grnd allspice to taste
1 x to 1-1/2 c. water
1 ctn bread crumbs (about 2 c.)

Инструкции

Preheat oven to 400F. Cook everything except crumbs in a large skillet, till meat is cooked. Remove from heat and stir in bread crumbs. Let sit while you roll out pie crusts. This amount will make 6 8-inch or possibly 9-inch two crust pies.
Bake in preheated oven till tops are brown. Serve warm or possibly cool with ketchup or possibly homemade chili sauce
NOTE:- I sometimes substitute 2 c. finely mashed potatoes for the bread crumbs.
