Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 1 c. ready to eat bran
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. prepared dry apricots - cover with boiling water - drain.
  • 1/2 c. sliced pitted dates
  • 1/2 c. minced walnuts

Инструкции

  1. Sift the flour, baking pwdr, soda and salt together. Stir in sugar and bran.
  2. Beat egg till lemon colored, stir in buttermilk and butter. Add in dry ingredients, stir just till moistened. Mix in apricots, dates and walnuts.
  3. Bake in greased 9x5x3 pan, 350 degrees, 1 hour or possibly till tester comes out clean. Cold, slice 1/4 inch thick.
