I've searched high and low for a good, bakery-style buttercreme recipe and I've finally found it! I made this icing Friday night for my cupcakes and I must say it tastes VERY similar to my local bakery's buttercreme icing! I used 1c butter and 1c shortening just as you did.Thanks Heidi, I will definitely be using this recipe again..and again....and AGAIN! :)
P.S. -The chocolate cake looks awesome by the way!
