- Serve this hearty garbanzo bean dish with a salad and Indian flatbread.
- DIRECTIONS: = In a large saucepan, fry mustard seeds in oil till they begin to pop.
- Add in chili and shallots and saute/fry till shallots are soft.
- Add in chickpeas, turmeric, cumin, ginger, salt and sufficient water to prevent sticking. Simmer for 15 min, sprinkle with cilantro and serve.
- HINT: Serve over warm basmati rice.
