Ингредиенты

  • 1 lb boneless sirloin steak
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 x onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 x garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 lrg tomatoes, peel, seed, chop
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh oregano, minced

  1. Alla pizzaiola: cooked in sauce which makes the dish taste like pizza.
  2. Between 2 sheets of waxed paper, lb. steak with meat pounder to just under 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into 1/2-inch wide strips; season with healthy pinch each of salt and pepper.
  3. In large skillet, heat oil over high heat; brown meat, in batches, for 2 min. Remove to plate.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add in onion and garlic; cook, stirring, for about 5 min or possibly till well softened. Stir in tomatoes, oregano and remaining salt and pepper, stirring to deglaze pan. Return meat and any accumulated juices to pan; simmer for 5 min or possibly till slightly thickened and meat is tender.
  5. Serve with rice or possibly mashed potatoes and sugar peas.
