Crispy Fried Okra (Bendi)

Okra sliced into thin stripes, dipped in a batter made with coconut milk and egg yolk and fried for that nice crispy-crunchy munch and punch.

Ингредиенты

  • 350g okra/bendi - slice into thin long stripes with the seeds on
  • oil for frying
  • For the batter
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp turmeric/kunyit
  • Salt to taste

Инструкции

  1. Add all the ingredients for the batter into a mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk together for a thin runny batter.
  3. Dip a few of the sliced okra together into the batter and deep fry,
  4. Drain over kitchen towel before serving.
