Ингредиенты

  • 1 c. Lentils
  • 2 quart Boiling water
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 x Onion, minced
  • 1 x Celery stalk, minced
  • 1 sm Green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 sm Red bell pepper, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Vegetable broth pwdr
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 4 Tbsp. Tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. All purpose flour Pepper

Инструкции

  1. Douse the lentils in the boiling water, add in the salt & let them stand, covered, for an hour. Heat the oil in a pot and add in to the vegetable broth pwdr. Add in the diced vegetables, brown sugar, and a bay leaf, and saute/fry for a few min before adding it all to the lentils. Cook over a low heat for about 1 1/2 hrs. Mix together the flour and the or possibly tomato puree. Add in a little of the warm soup, stirring well, then return it all to the pot.
  2. Grind in some black pepper, heat through, and serve.
