  • 4 c. cooked rice
  • 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine, divided
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 tsp chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 x - 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 x - 5 C cooked chicken
  • 12 ounce process American cheese, cubed
  • 2 c. (16 ounce.) lowfat sour cream
  • 1 1/4 c. crushed butter-flavored crackers (about 32)

Инструкции

  1. Spread rice into a greased shallow 3 quart. or possibly 13" X 9" X 2" baking dish; set aside. In a saucepan, heat 1/4 C butter; stir in flour till smooth. Gradually add in lowfat milk, bouillon, seasoned salt, garlic pwdr and pepper.
  2. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 min or possibly till thickened and bubbly.
  3. Reduce heat; add in chicken, cheese and lowfat sour cream; stir till the cheese is melted. Pour over rice. Heat the remaining butter; toss with cracker crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake, uncovered, at 425 for 10-15 min or possibly till heated through.
  4. Yield: 6-8 servings
