- 6 ounce soft cream cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 2 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fluffy Brown Sugar Frosting

- Cream the cheese, food coloring and sugar. Blend in cooled chocolate. Add in large eggs; beat well. Add in sifted flour, soda and salt alternately with water; beat till smooth. Add in vanilla. Pour into two 8-inch layer pans, lined on bottom with paper. Bake in moderate 350 degree oven for 30 min. Cool; frost.
