- 3 Tbsp. hard peppermint candies, finely crushed
- 1/2 c. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 tsp shortening

- These easy cookies have a delightful peppermint flavor.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice well-chilled dough into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place slices 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp. peppermint candy in center of each slice.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 7 to 11 min or possibly till light golden.
- Cold slightly; remove from cookie sheets. Cold completely.
