- ½ Cup (1 stick) Butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- Line an 8Ã8 pan with parchment (itâs not going to be perfect, but when you put the batter into the pan it will smooth out)
- Beat butter and sugar until light, about 2 minutes
- Beat in egg and then vanilla
- Add salt, stir in flour and chocolate chips
