- 1 (1 ounce.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- Dash of salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp. amaretto
- 1 1/2 c. whipping cream
- 1 1/2 tbsp. amaretto
- Tart shells (recipe follows)
- Sliced almonds, toasted (optional)
Инструкции
- Heat chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat, set aside. Cream butter gradually. Add in powdered sugar; beating at medium speed in an electric mixer till smooth. Add in chocolate, mixing till blended. Add in vanilla and salt; mix till blended. Add in egg yolks one at a time, beating after each addition. Add in 3 Tbsp. amaretto, one tsp. at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat whipping cream till soft peaks form. Gradually add in 1 1/2 Tbsp. of amaretto, mix till blended. Fold 1 c. whipped cream mix into chocolate mix. Fill cooled tart shells with chocolate filling. Refrigerate3 to 4 hrs or possibly till hard. Pipe or possibly dollop reserved whipped cream. Garnish with sliced almonds if you like. Yield 5 dozen tarts.
