,%20was%20a%20Forman%20and%20Field%20hamper,%20on%20behalf%20of%20Knorr%20aka%20the%20stock%20people,%20full%20of%20edible%20goodies!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWithin%20my%20little%20hamper,%20it%20included%20all%20the%20ingredients%20to%20make%20a%20Marco%20Pierre%20White%20recipe%20for%20Chicken%20Chausseur.%20Now%20please%20forgive%20me%20as%20I%20will%20no%20doubt%20change%20my%20mind%20at%20a%20future%20date%20but%20the%20recipe%20just%20was%20not%20screaming%20out%20to%20me%20to%20make%20it.%20For%20one%20it%20had%20a%20lot%20of%20tomatoes%20in,%20something%20that%20I%20shouldn't%20eat%20in%20huge%20quantities%20anyway%20and%20I%20don't%20know%20what%20else,%20but%20it%20just%20didn't%20appeal.%20It%20seems%20Chicken%20Chausseur%20is%20a%20pretty%20classic%20bistro%20style%20dish%20but%20I%20have%20never%20tried%20it,%20one%20day%20perhaps!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOne%20of%20the%20items%20was%20a%20whole%20organic%20chicken,%20complete%20with%20a%20little%20bag%20of%20the%20innards.%20Now%20being%20the%20type%20of%20person%20who%20hates%20waste%20and%20not%20needing%20to%20make%20any%20stock%20any%20time%20soon%20thanks%20to%20a%20stash%20of%20Knorr%20stock%20pots,%20my%20head%20started%20scheming%20and%20within%20the%20bags%20contents%20I%20thought%20I%20identified%20the%20liver,%20gave%20them%20a%20quick%20trim,%20going%20from%20a%20memory%20of%20making%20liver%20parfait%20a%20few%20years%20back%20and%20decided%20to%20knock%20up%20possibly%20the%20tiniest%20portion%20of%20pate%20to%20start%20our%20meal%20with!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20pate%20was%20very%20easy%20to%20make,%20and%20surprisingly%20delicious,%20though%20preferably%20make%20it%20in%20advance%20and%20not%20whilst%20making%20your%20main%20course%20but%20there%20again%20I%20do%20love%20a%20challenge%20and%20nothing%20makes%20me%20more%20content%20than%20creating%20a%20gigantic%20pile%20of%20washing%20up%20and%20getting%20to%20eat%20at%20the%20end%20of%20it%20all!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20used%20various%20bits%20supplied%20in%20the%20hamper%20and%20ingredients%20I%20had%20lying%20around%20-%20the%20best%20kind%20of%20cooking%20I%20think!%20Whilst%20I%20used%20whipped%20cream%20making%20the%20pate,%20regular%20double%20cream%20will%20be%20just%20fine%20-%20I%20had%20previously%20frozen%20a%20tub%20picked%20up%20on%20reduced,%20hence%20it%20being%20already%20whipped.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMakes%201%20portion%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Es&p%20to%20taste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%20the%20butter,%20add%20the%20shallots%20and%20gently%20cook%20for%20a%20couple%20of%20minutes,%20add%20the%20liver%20and%20fry%20until%20just%20pink%20inside%20and%20cooked%20outside,%20add%20the%20brandy%20and%20allow%20to%20evaporate%20off%20slightly%20and%20remove%20from%20the%20heat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EScrape%20the%20contents%20of%20the%20pan%20into%20a%20small%20chopper%20and%20blitz%20with%20the%20tarragon,%20cream%20and%20seasoning.%20Adjust%20to%20taste%20with%20seasoning%20and%20extra%20cream%20if%20desired.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20pate%20into%20a%20suitable%20serving%20dish,%20or%20whatever%20you%20can%20find%20at%20the%20time%20-%20mine%20was%20a%20rather%20beautiful%20and%20delicate%20Laura%20Ashley%20flower%20cup,%20garnish%20with%20a%20little%20extra%20tarragon%20and%20then%20chill%20until%20required.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20with%20a%20granary%20roll.%20Or%20similar.%20Fortunately%20my%20dad%20had%20received%20my%20telepathic%20message%20and%20had%20turned%20up%20with%20a%20pack%20of%20rolls!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20will%20have%20some%20more%20recipes%20to%20follow%20shortly%20with%20what%20happened%20to%20the%20rest%20of%20the%20chicken!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThanks%20to%20Knorr%20and%20Jen%20at%20Golin%20Harris%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclaimer:%20All%20recipes%20are%20my%20own%20and%20I%20have%20been%20provided%20with%20the%20ingredients%20only.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
