Ингредиенты

  • 1 x 3 to 4 lb chicken cut into Serving pcs Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 c. Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 3/4 c. Water
  • 3 stk cinnamon
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 1 c. Onions -- chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic -- chopped
  • 1 lb Macaroni
  • 1 c. grated Kefalotiri or possibly fresh Parmesan cheese

  1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and cinnamon. In a Dutch oven, heat 2 Tbsp butter and brown chicken till golden brown on all sides. In a bowl combine tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, and water and pour mix over chicken. Add in cinnamon sticks and bay leaf. In a medium-sized frying pan, heat 2 Tbsp butter and saute/fry onions, and garlic till onions are wilted. Add in to chicken. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer till chicken is tender, 50 -60 min. In the last 20 min, cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and empty into serving dish.
  2. Brown remaining butter and pour over macaroni. Place macaroni on a large serving platter. Place chicken and sauce over macaroni and sprinkle with grated cheese.
