Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. Water
  • 4 ounce minced pimientos (jar)
  • 1/4 c. Raw cashews (cleaned)
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice (1 to 2)
  • 2 Tbsp. Nutritional Yeast (or possibly Brewers Yeast) (2 to 3)
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Pwdr
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp Butter Flavor or possibly butter buds
  • 1 tsp Lite Salt

Инструкции

  1. Clean raw cashews by placing in boiling water for one minute. Pour through strainer, rinse, and place in blender. Add in remaining ingredients, except lemon juice, and blend till very smooth. Cook till thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Use as a dip or possibly spread. Makes about 2 1/4 c..
  2. Serving size: 2 Tbsp..
  3. TIP - nutritional yeast is available at Loma Linda Market or possibly other health food stores.
  4. Yield: 2 1/4 c.
  5. NOTES : Your taste buds will not even know this is not real cheese! Use it hot as a sauce over vegetables or possibly cool as a spread on bread or possibly crackers.
