2 can (16 ounces each) fat-free or possibly regular refried beans

1/2 c. shredded reduced-fat Cheddar or possibly Monterey Jack cheese (2 ounces)

(Double recipe or possibly Halve recipe - either way, it works well)
Spread beans in ungreased 1 1/2-qt microwavable casserole. Cover and microwave on High about 4 min, stirring occasionally, till warm.
Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and microwave about 30 seconds longer or possibly till cheese is melted.
