- 4 ounce (1 c.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese.
- 1/2 c. Mayonaise or possibly butter softened
- 1 c. All purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 dsh Grnd red pepper

- Lightly spoon flour into measuring c.; level off. In a medium bowl, combine cheese, margarine, flour,salt, and red pepper. Mix thoroughly and Cover and refrigeratefor 1 hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape the dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with tines of fork or possibly use surface of meat tenderizer dipped in flour. If you like, sprinkle lightly with paprika. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 mins.
