Ингредиенты

  • 1 can Garbanzo beans
  • 1 x Big onion very finely minced or possibly processed in a food processor/grinder
  • 1 slc (1-inch) fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 x Clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Amchur pwdr (dry mango pwdr)
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala (purchased or possibly see below)
  • 2 Tbsp. Oil Salt to taste
  • 1 stk (small) cinnamon
  • 3 x -(up to)
  • 4 whl cloves
  • 4 x -(up to)
  • 5 x Black peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp Cummin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander seeds

Инструкции

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add in minced onions and fry till golden.
  2. Add in all the spices (except mango pwdr), crushed garlic and grated ginger to it.
  3. Fry for about two-three min. Add in garbanzo beans, salt and mango pwdr. Add in about 1/2 c. of water and cook on low heat for about 15 min. This will give some time for garbanzo beans to absorb all the spices.
  4. This could be very spicy for people not used to spicy food. Reduce the amount of cayenne pepper and garam masala as desired for less spicy chana.
  5. Garam Masala: This can be bought ready made. The best way is to make it home Grind all the ingredients into pwdr.
