1 c. Cornstarch
2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
1/4 tsp Gound nutmeg
3 Tbsp. Lemon juice
2 x To 3 drops yellow food color
6 lb Tart apples Peel/core/slice

Инструкции

Here is a great recipe for you home canners out there.It's apple pie filling for a two crust pie. In sauce pan blend first 4 ingredients and 1 tsp salt. Stir 10 c. water cook and stir until thick and bubbly. add in lemon juice and food coloring. Pack into warm sterilized qt jars leaving 1" headspace. Fill jars with syrup leaving 1/2 inch headspace. Use spatula to help distribute syrup. Adjust lids. Process in water bath for 20 minutes.
Makes 6 qts; each qt is sufficient for 1 pie.
