- 1 (18.25 ounce) pkg. yellow cake mix
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves
- 1 c. applesauce
- 3 large eggs
- Grnd nutmeg
- 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 teaspoon light corn syrup
- 2 to 3 T applesauce

- In large mixing bowl, put together cake mix, applesauce, oil, large eggs, cinnamon, 3/4 tsp nutmeg and cloves. Mix at low speed of electric mixer till moist, then at high speed for 2 min.Pour mix into greased and lightly floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 min or possibly till toothpick placed in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 min. Invert onto serving plate and cool.
- Put together powdered sugar, rum extract, corn syrup and applesauce in mixing bowl. Mix till smooth and of drizzling consistency. Drizzle glaze over top of cake. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg. 12 servings.
