Brie And Prosciutto (or Bacon) Tea Sandwiches

This was an improvisation that turned out well. Brie and prosciutto are lovely together. If possible, allow the sandwiches to come to room temperature before serving, so the Brie is nice and creamy.
If substituting bacon, cut slices in half and only use one layer.

Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 pound Brie cheese
  • 1/2 pound prosciutto, sliced thin OR 12-16 slices cooked bacon
  • 8 slices bread, sliced thin

Инструкции

  1. Place Brie in freezer and chill for 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, spread half of the bread out on a cutting board and top with half of the prosciutto slices.
  3. Remove Brie from freezer and slice as thinly as possible (a cheese cutter works well). Place on top of the prosciutto-topped bread.
  4. Cover with remaining prosciutto, then the rest of the bread.
  5. With a rolling pin, gently roll sandwiches to flatten slightly.
  6. Trim crust and cut into tea sandwich shapes.
