Ингредиенты

  • 1 c. soy sauce
  • 3/4 c. sake (or possibly dry white wine)
  • 3/4 c. canned low-salt chicken broth
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped peeled fresh ginger
  • 4 lrg garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 x fryer chicken - (4 1/2 lbs)

Инструкции

  1. Stir first 6 ingredients in heavy large pot over low heat till sugar dissolves. Add in chicken. Cover pot and simmer till chicken is just cooked through, turning occasionally, about 50 min.
  2. Transfer chicken to platter; cover with foil to keep hot. Increase heat and boil sauce till reduced to 1 1/2 c., about 15 min. Spoon sauce over.
  3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
  4. Comments: Serve over freshly steamed rice and garnish with minced green onions.
