- Stir first 6 ingredients in heavy large pot over low heat till sugar dissolves. Add in chicken. Cover pot and simmer till chicken is just cooked through, turning occasionally, about 50 min.
- Transfer chicken to platter; cover with foil to keep hot. Increase heat and boil sauce till reduced to 1 1/2 c., about 15 min. Spoon sauce over.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
- Comments: Serve over freshly steamed rice and garnish with minced green onions.
