- 3 lb. boneless chuck pot roast
- 1/2 cup Kraft Zesty Italian Dressing and Marinade (This is always my marinade of choice - dang good!)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 container (32 oz.) beef broth or stock
- 1 cup red wine
- Blue Cheese Sauce:
- 1 container (5 oz.) Blue cheese crumbles
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt and pepper to taste

%20%20Here's%20what%20you%20need%20to%20know%20-%20this%20dish%20is%20super%20easy,%20you%20can%20get%20it%20prepped%20in%20your%20Sunday%20clothes%20and%20high%20heels%20and%20still%20be%20in%20the%20pew%20on%20time.%20%20The%20magic%20happens%20while%20you're%20singin'%20and%20swayin',%20in%20the%20three%20hours%20you're%20gone...so%20if%20you%20go%20to%20a%20drive-thru%20church,%20keep%20drivin'%20until%20you've%20been%20gone%20for%20three%20hours.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20is%20what%20the%20top%201%25%20eat...it's%20what%20the%20mister%20calls%20rich%20people%20food...because%20after%20eating%20this%20obscenely%20decadent%20and%20rich%20meal,%20the%20ensuing%20heart%20attack%20that%20it%20might%20induce,%20along%20with%20all%20of%20the%20machines%20in%20the%20ER%20that%20will%20be%20necessary%20to%20save%20one's%20life,%20can%20only%20be%20afforded%20by%20rich%20people.%20%20After%20he%20scarfs%20up%20his%20dinner%20he%20does%20his%20imitation%20of%20Fred%20Sanford,%20clutching%20his%20heart%20and%20staggering%20around%20the%20kitchen...It's%20the%20big%20one%20Elizabeth...I'm%20coming%20home!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20this%20dish%20comes%20with%20a%20warning:%20%20Do%20not%20stand%20over%20the%20pan%20and%20eat%20the%20sauce%20with%20a%20spoon.%20%20Do%20not%20serve%20this%20dish%20in%20a%20soup%20bowl%20with%20a%20spoon%20or%20a%20straw.%20%20The%20sauce%20is%20supposed%20to%20be%20an%20accompaniment%20to%20the%20beef...even%20though%20it%20will%20be%20the%20best%20thing%20you've%20ever%20tasted.%20%20Blue%20cheese%20crumbles,%20heavy%20cream,%20salt%20and%20pepper...a%20delicious%20elixir%20that%20will%20have%20you%20licking%20your%20plate%20as%20you%20beg%20for%20more.%20%20But%20the%20beef...in%20all%20of%20it's%20braised%20beauty,%20can%20stand%20alone.%20%20It's%20that%20good.%20%20With%20the%20sauce,%20it's%20mind-blasting%20(ten%20times%20better%20than%20mind-blowing.)%20%20Trust%20me.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThirty%20minutes%20before,%20remove%20roast%20from%20refrigerator%20and%20put%20in%20a%20rimmed%20baking%20dish%20and%20pour%20Kraft%20dressing%20on%20top.%20%20Turn%20to%20coat.%20%20Cover%20with%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20let%20sit%20on%20counter.%20%20In%20a%20Dutch%20oven%20or%20a%20similar%20stove%20top/oven%20proof%20pan%20with%20a%20tight%20fitting%20lid,%20heat%20butter%20and%20olive%20oil%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%20%20After%20roast%20has%20been%20in%20marinade%20for%2030%20minutes%20(or%20longer%20if%20you%20have%20time,%20up%20to%20overnight%20even)%20remove%20roast%20and%20put%20in%20hot%20butter/oil.%20%20Heat%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees.%20%20Discard%20marinade.%20%20Sear%20roast%20on%20all%20sides.%20%20Remove%20from%20heat.%20%20Pour%20beef%20broth%20and%20red%20wine%20over%20top%20of%20roast%20and%20mix%20with%20a%20wooden%20spoon.%20%20Cover%20with%20lid%20and%20put%20in%20oven,%20bake%20for%20three%20hours.%20%20Remove%20from%20oven,%20remove%20roast%20from%20pan%20and%20let%20rest%20on%20a%20platter,%20covered%20with%20foil.%20%20(Save%20the%20juices%20in%20the%20pan%20for%20another%20use,%20like%20the%20base%20of%20a%20beef%20soup%20or%20stew.%20%20You%20can%20even%20freeze%20it.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMake%20Blue%20Cheese%20Sauce:%20%20In%20a%20small%20saucepan%20over%20medium-heat,%20bring%20cream%20almost%20to%20a%20boil.%20%20Reduce%20heat%20to%20low%20and%20slowly%20stir%20in%20blue%20cheese%20crumbles%20until%20they%20melt.%20%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20to%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20serve:%20%20Pour%20some%20of%20the%20blue%20cheese%20sauce%20over%20roast,%20pass%20the%20remaining%20sauce%20as%20you%20eat.%20%20Serves%205%20to%206.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
