- Makes 5 dozen
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 x Large eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 pch salt
- 1 tsp soda dissolved in
- 1/2 c. raisin juice
- 1 c. coconut
- 15 ounce box raisins (boiled, cooled, and liquid removed)

- 1. Cream sugar and shortening. Add in Large eggs and beat well.
- 2. Add in flour, salt, and soda dissolved in raisin juice. Mix well.
- 3. Stir in coconut and raisins.
- 4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 min.
