- Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl; rub over chicken. Place a skillet over high heat till warm; add in 1 Tbsp. butter and quickly tilt in all directions so butter covers bottom. Add in chicken; cook 2 min on each side or possibly till blackened and charred. Remove chicken.
- Heat remaining butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add in onion and saute/fry 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium, and cook 5 min or possibly till tender, stirring occasionally. Line each pita half with 1/2 c. lettuce.
- Arrange 1 piece chicken and 2 tomato slices over lettuce; top with onion mix.
