- 2 to 3 carrots, minced
- 2 lg. potatoes, minced
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 4 ribs celery, minced
- 1 sm. head cabbage, shredded
- 1 to 2 lbs. grnd beef
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon grnd pepper
- 1 quart. tomato juice
Инструкции
- Combine carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, cabbage, grnd beef, salt and pepper in a large stock pot and add in sufficient water to cover. Add in tomato juice. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer at least 1 hour, till meat is cooked and vegetables are tender. Stir occasionally to break up meat. Skim off fat. This soup freezes well and tastes better the second or possibly third day. Can also be used with beef chunks.
