Bean Soup With Ham Bone And Vegetables

Ингредиенты

  • 1 pound pkg. mixed dry beans, 15 varieties with lentils & seasonings
  • 1 ham bone, with a little meat on it
  • 1 lg. onion, diced
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon sweet basil
  • Healthy pinch of thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 lg. can tomatoes
  • 2 c. mixed vegetables

Инструкции

  1. Celery, broccoli, turnips, cauliflower, cabbage, corn, carrots, peas, or possibly any combination you may have available.
  2. Place beans in a large kettle and cover with cool water at least one inch above the beans. Boil for 5 min and pour off water.
  3. Place ham bone in kettle with beans. Add in diced onion, celery and seasonings.
  4. After the beans are cooked tender, add in the remaining vegetables. Don't over cook the vegetables. Add in water as necessary.
