Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. dry navy beans
  • 1 x ham bone
  • 2 quart water salt and pepper
  • 2 quart lowfat milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter

Инструкции

  1. Soak beans overnight in sufficient water to cover. In the morning, drain beans. Add in water and ham bone. Cook slowly till meat and beans are soft. Pick meat from bone. Chop and return to bean mix.
  2. Add in lowfat milk. Heat thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add in butter and serve.
  3. Variations:1. Add in 1/2 c. minced onion.
  4. Add in 1/2 c. minced celery.
  5. Add in 1/2 c. minced carrot.
