1 (at least 16 ounce.) can pinto beans
1/2 pound sausage
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
1 sm. onion, minced
1/2 c. potatoes, diced
1/4 c. green pepper, minced
2 c. water
1 bay leaf (opt.)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Brown sausage; add in other ingredients. Simmer about 1 1/2 hrs. Can be made with pot of fresh cooked pinto beans and increased amounts of ingredients to suit taste.
