Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 egg yolks or possibly 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Инструкции

  1. In small saucepan combine sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add in lowfat milk; mix well. Cook over medium heat till mix boils, stirring constantly; boil 1 minute. Blend small amount (1/4 c.) warm mix into egg. Return egg mix to saucepan; mix well. Cook till mix starts to bubble, stirring constantly. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cover and cook. Fills 1 layer or possibly 1 jelly roll.

  3. Chocolate Cream Filling: Increase sugar to 3/4 c. and add in 1 square (1 oz) unsweetened chocolate or possibly 1 envelope premelted unsweetened baking chocolate flavor with the sugar.
  4. Coconut Cream Filling: Stir in 1/3 c. flaked coconut with vanilla.
  5. Butterscotch Cream Filling: Substitute 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar for granulated sugar.
