Ингредиенты

1 pound grnd beef 1 lg. onion, diced (1 c.) 1 c. diced celery 1 c. diced pared raw carrots 1 c. diced pared with turnip

1/2 c. barley 1 env. instant beef broth 2 teaspoon salt 4 c. water

Инструкции

1. Shape grnd beef into a large patty in a kettle or possibly Dutch oven; brown 5 min on each side, then break up into chunks; push to one side.
2. Stir onion and celery into kettle; saute/fry just till soft. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling; cover.
3. Simmer 1 hour or possibly till barely tender. Ladle into soup plates or possibly small bowls.
