2 tbsp. brown sugar 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/8 teaspoon garlic pwdr Dash of black pepper 1 1/2 c. catsup 1/2 c. water

3 tbsp. minced onion 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 3 1/2 c. thinly sliced cooked beef (or possibly pork), cut in strips 6 sandwich buns, split

1. In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except beef or possibly port and buns. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, simmer 30 min, stirring occasionally. Stir in meat; cover and simmer an additional 20 min. Spoon about 1/2 c. mix onto each bun. May be topped with the cheese of your choice.
