Ингредиенты
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp grnd cloves
- 1/4 c. shortening -- softened
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 c. bananas -- mashed
- 1/2 c. walnuts -- minced
- 1/3 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
- 2 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp lemon rind -- grated
Инструкции
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees .Sift together flour, cinnamon and cloves.
- In a large bowl, cream together shortening, 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. brown sugar.
- Add in Large eggs and beat till light and fluffy.
- Add in sifted ingredients and banana. Mix well.
- Mix in walnuts.
- Drop batter by tsp. onto greased cookie sheets.
- Bake 10-12 min or possibly till well down.
- Let cold on wire rack.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, cream together remaining butter and confectioners sugar.
- Add in lemon juice and lemon rind, stirring till icing is of spreading consistency.
- Spread tops of cooled cookies with icing.
